Having roots in Siberia, Ukraine, and Germany, Ganna Gryniva aims to bring into play her multicultural background as a means of unveiling her musical identity. At present Gryniva is living and creating in Berlin and Weimar. She was lucky to be introduced to the world of music by her mother, a classical pianist, at the age of six.

When her family immigrated to Germany, she attended the Musikschule in Bernburg where she won a grant for her outstanding performance in classical singing. In 2013, Gryniva studied Jazz vocals at the renowned Musikschule Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg in Berlin.

Since 2015 she is studying Jazz vocal at The Conservatory Franz Liszt in. In April 2016, Gryniva won the prestigious Berlin Music Award to support her band’s Record-Release-Tour. In August 2016, she was a finalist at the Voicingers International Jazz Competition for Singing Musician in Poland. In January 2017, Gryniva was invited to Austria to participate in the composition project CHAUD! directed by Christoph Cech. With the large ensemble CHAUD! Gryniva was touring in Austria, Switzerland and Germany.
