Elza Ozolina composed the composition for the "Euroradio Jazz Orchestra 2019" concert program and live recording of Nostalgia was included in BBC Radio 3 show alongside some of the world's greatest jazz performances in 2019.

Euroradio Jazz Orchestra is a big band that is traditionally created every year by EBU (European Broadcasting Union) jazz producers, including Latvian Radio jazz producer Maris Briezkalns. After a strong start last year at the Jazz artists Contest Riga Jazz Stage, he nominated Elza Ozolina for the big band.

Born in Riga, she is currently studying jazz at the Royal Academy of Music in Aalborg, Denmark. Elza has also studied at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater in Tallinn.

Elza Ozolina's work Nostalgia includes the motif of the Latvian folk song Put, vejini or Blow Wind Blow. How that sounds, you can hear from the 44th minute of BBC Radio 3's end of the year jazz show in archive.
