Charlie Hunter and Lucy Woodward on the way to Latvia

Two musical mavericks with undeniable chemistry re-imagine classic blues, soul and jazz standards. Jazz guitarist Charlie Hunter and singer Lucy Woodward will perform in the Latvian Radio Studio 1.

For 16 years and nearly 20 albums, Charlie Hunter has been steadily adding to his genius of guitar, both as an innovative composer and as bandleader. He has worked with Norah Jones, Mos Def, John Mayer, D'Angelo and countless other prominent musicians. Throughout the world of jazz, Charlie is considered the authority of seven and eight string guitars. He continues to stun the audience with the ability to bring out delicious bass, melodic lines and funky groovesat the same time.

Lucy Woodward, in turn, is the owner of a strong voice who has performed alongside her four album solo career with music stars such as Celine Dion, Rod Stewart, Joe Cocker, Barbra Streisand, Chaka Khan, Carole King, Nikka Costa and Randy Jackson, as well as legendary fusion jazz band"Snarky Puppy"and easy listening style glitters "Pink Martini".

In the spring of this year, Charlie and Lucy released their album "Music! Music! Music!", whose compositions will also form the basis of a fresh concert program. The album features radically revisited pieces by various jazz, blues and R&B artists, from Blind Willie Johnson and Bessie Smith to Nina Simone and even Terence Trent D'Arby.
