Bio

Atis Andersons is a pianist/composer who began his jazz studies at the Riga Dome Cathedral school. After that he moved to London in pursuit of a bachelor’s diploma, which he acquired at the London College of Music together with Mona Blackman award (2014). Later Atis Andersons moved back to Riga where he graduated the Jazepa Vitola Latvian Music Academy (2017) and received a scholarship, which enabled him to further his knowledge by learning from one of the best Dutch jazz musicians, i.e Rob van Bavel (Conservatorium van Amsterdam) and Bob Wijnen (Jazz organ). Atis Andersons is regularly performing in Latvia and the Baltics and has shared the stage with many great artists such as Rick Margitza, Seamus Blake, Robert Anchipolovsky, Villu Veski, Michael Pipoquinha, and more. Atis Andersons is currently writing and arranging music for his own-led projects in trio and quartet settings switching between piano and organ.
