Scandroglio was sixteen, when he began to learn jazz with the Italian Master double-bass player Ares Tavolazzi (AREA, Gil Evans orchestra, Enrico Rava) and classical with M.Gabriele Ragghianti (Royal Academy of London, President of BassEurope 2018). He mastered his jazz studies with Joe Sanders, Harish Raghavan, Ben Street at prestigious school Siena Jazz and classical studies with Jeff Bradetich, Alberto Bocini, Damiano D’amico at ISSM Luigi Boccherini of Lucca.
Since he was fifteen he won many prestigious competitions and scholarships such as “CMM Music Contest”, “Premio Rotary Artisti in erba“, “Siena Jazz Kind of Blue“ (best student/ Scholarship), “Premio Renato Maggi”, “Concorso Chicco Bettinardi” (Finalist) and many others. He had the opportunity to play and collaborate with Italian jazz giants including Stefano “Cocco” Cantini, Nico Gori, Carlo Atti, Francesco Ciniglio, Stefano Tamborrino, Bernardo Guerra and some of world great Jazz Player among which Logan Richardson, Glenn Ferris, John Taylor, Marvin Smith. He regularly plays at European festivals like the Grey Cat Jazz Festival, Lucca Classica, Firenze Fringe Jazz Festival, Capalbio jazz festival, Festival del Maggio Musicale.
