Bio
Laura Rizzotto is a 23-year-old Latvian/Brazilian singer, songwriter and pianist, with over 100 original songs published.
Laura started performing in the Rio de Janeiro music scene at the age of 15. Her first record deal, with Universal Music Brazil, came up when a record company executive saw her performing live. Her debut studio album, Made in Rio, was released in 2011. Shortly after, she won a scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music and moved to Boston, in the United States.
Her second studio album, Reason to Stay, was released in Los Angeles, in 2014.
Laura’s current artistic work is the EP series Precious Stones. The first EP, Ruby, was launched in 2017 and the second one, Amber, will be released in 2018, as a tribute to her Latvian roots.
Laura currently lives in New York City, where she has accomplished a Master of Music degree, at Columbia University. The singer has collaborated with jazz legend Eumir Deodato and worked as a Portuguese vocal coach for superstar Jennifer Lopez.
Her original song Funny Girl qualified for the semi-final of Latvian national selection for the next Eurovision Song Contest.
