Bio

At the age of 21 Dominyka Mickute has accomplished being a jazz vocalist, song writer, arranged many compositions and educated a handful of pupils in Jazz music in The Netherlands. Dominyka was born in Lithuania, however, at the age of 18 she moved to another country to study. Currently she is touring with a band in different cities around The Netherlands, as well as studying to achieve her Bachelor’s in Jazz Music at the Royal Conservatory (Koninklijk Conservatorium Royal Conservatoire). With a powerful and jazzy style of singing she looks to create her own album in the near future.

Dominyka is collaborating with many talented musicians, participating in different jazz projects such as Dimitris Koutantos Sextet, Dominyka Mickute Quartet and Big Band Project conducted by Ed Partyka. 

She is representing herself in various vocal competitions like "Young Voices 2015" where she successful obtained first place, Music Talent League 2015 international competition where she won the Grand Pix prize. 

She is also learning from the best jazz musicians attending the workshops and masterclasses of Snarky Puppy, Dianne Reeves, Dena DeRose, Stefano Battaglia, Bob Stollof, Anka’s Koziel, Norma Winstone, Improvisation workshop for singers with Cristiano Viviani.

2018 looks set to be an exciting new phase in Dominyka’s journey, with the new coming music, live gigs throughout the NL and growing fan base.
