Flying to Riga


There are direct flights to Riga from more than 85 cities in Europe, Asia, Africa, and America. The Latvian national airline, airBaltic (www.airbaltic.com), as well as number of other airlines provide easy and convenient connections to all the major airports in Europe and CIS countries.

Riga International Airport (www.riga-airport.com) is around 10 km from the Riga city centre.

A taxi ride from the airport to Riga center takes around 15 to 20 y minutes, depending on traffic, and costs approximately EUR 15,00 - 20,00.

Bus no. 22 runs to and from the airport and departs every 10–20 minutes from the Airport (in direction to the center) and from Riga center (opposite Bus station; in direction to the airport) and the fare costs EUR 2,00

Trains to Riga

Train connections to Riga are available from Moscow (twice a day), St. Petersburg (daily), and Pskov (daily), operated by the Latvian State Railway Company Latvijas Dzelzceļš (www.ldz.lv).

Riga Central Railway Station is located at Stacijas Square, directly east of the Old Town..

 

Bus connections to Riga

Largest passenger carriers ensuring daily departures from Tallinn, Tartu, Parnu, Vilnius, Warsaw, St Petersburg, Moscow, Minsk, Berlin, Prague and many more are "Lux Express" and "Ecolines".

Buses are equipped with comfortable seats, free WI-FI and on-board services. Tickets can be purchased online at www.luxexpress.eu and www.ecolines.net starting from EUR 5,00 for early reservations.
