The contest is a great way for young jazz talents to get known, show their skills and present themselves internationally.

Contestants' performances will be judged by world-class musicians, music producers and festival directors and organizers from Latvia, Lithuania, Canada, Turkey, UK, Estonia and Italy.

Prizes include a total amount of monetary prizes of 10 400 euros, and a chance to perform at jazz festivals and jazz clubs all around the world: Ronnie Scott's (UK), Nomme Jazz (Estonia), Rigas Ritmi (Latvia), Nardis Jazz Club (Turkey), Kaunas Jazz (Lithuania) and Ottawa Jazz (Canada).

Each year Riga Jazz Stage welcomes yet-to-be jazz stars in the capital of Latvia, Riga. Contest invites the audience to go along with the competition spirit and to enjoy jazz in yet unheard interpretations.

International Jazz Artists Contest Riga Jazz Stage few last year winners were Shenel Jonns from USA in Jazz Vocal category, Latvian guitarist Matīss Čudars in the category of Jazz Guitar, Robinson Khoury from France in category of Jazz Trombone, Erik Leuthäuser from Germany in category of Jazz Vocal, Gerhard Ornig from Austria in the category of Jazz Trumpet.
