Bio

Born in 1994 in Kiev, Danil Zverkhanovsky is a Berlin-based guitarist and composer.
For almost a decade he's been studying jazz, focusing on bebop and older tradition jazz repertoire. After graduating from a music college in Kiev he has moved to Austria to study at the University of Arts Graz and eventually relocated to Berlin to start the Jazz Institute Berlin.

Danil is a prize-winner of MM Jazzfestival 2013 and a semi-finalist of the Montreux Jazz Electric Guitar Competition 2013.

Danil's music is a result of the search for an original language that suits modern environment. 
He prefers to play archtop guitars, gravitating towards a more acoustic tone.
