Denis began playing music at the age of six and discovered the trombone when he was 16. Has studied classical trombone at the music college in Moscow. Meeting the legendary American Jazz pioneer Stafford Hunter persuaded Denis to move from classical studies to jazz and Denis entered the Gnesins Russian Academy of music.
In 2013 began to engage in the composition and arrangement. Currently playing in cover bands and funk&soul bands, sometimes also in big bands. Believes the best trombonists are Nils Landgren and Fred Wesley.
