Miriam has been studying jazz vocals and saxophone since 2009 and finished her bachelor studies in voice. She is planning to finish her saxophone studies this April.
Has been member of the vocal ensemble of the German National Youth Jazz Orchestra. Together with the newcomer band "The Ropesh" received the new "Young German Jazz Award Osnabrück" in October 2013. Miriam also writes vocal modern jazz compositions for her own band "Miriam Ast Quartett". She is a featured singer in the ensemble "KlezmersTechter" and will be on their next recording.
