After discovering her love for jazz through playing the trombone in a local Big Band, Lydia decided to study Jazz Voice at the University of Music in Würzburg, Germany. She finished her studies in 2012 and in the same year won a scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service to study at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City, where she studied with Peter Eldridge and Theo Bleckmann. 

Lydia is performing with various projects all over the country. She released her debut album „so oder so“ with her trio „lucid“ in 2011, was the solo singer in the Bavarian Youth Jazz Orchestra from 2009 until 2012, as well as a member of the BuJazzO (German Youth Jazz Orchestra) in 2013.
