Can Yapıcıoğlu, a composer, and pianist from İzmir, was born on March 23, 1992, in Akhisar, Turkey. When he was 5 years old, he started to learn piano with his father, Mesut Yapıcıoğlu who was graduated from Violin department of Istanbul State Conservatory. During the school years, he lasted his piano education with Arzu Akay. As a second musical instrument, he learned viola in the school, and he played double bass for the school orchestra. His compositions for the school string orchestra and the school choir from his young ages were played by University Academic Orchestras many times. Besides his classical education process, he maintained his jazz and harmony education with his father. After his university education and classical education process, he attached more importance to take a part in the jazz scene as a pianist and composer. He studied jazz harmony and ensemble with the great Italian artist Furio Di Castri, and Fabio Giachino.
