Bio

Marianne is an Estonian singer, songwriter and violin player. She has graduated from Nõmme Music School (violin; Tallinn), Georg Ots Tallinn Music College (pop-jazz singing). She currently studies in Estonian Academy of Music & Theatre (Master’s Studies, jazz department). Marianne performs as a soloist, also with jazz-quartet called Monday Quartet and with pop-folk-jazz band Pillikud.
In 2018 she was nominated for Young Jazz-talent at Jazzkaar festival. In 2015 she earned a title Tallinn’s Young Culture Contributor of the year. In addition, back then in Riga, she was also awarded a special prize by Latvian composer Erik Ešenvalds for her original piece. Marianne has won a song contest "Hõbehääl" (Silvery Sound) and in 2012 she shared the first prize of "Noor instrumentalist" (Young Instrumentalist) contest. Estonian musicians recognize her as a young soulful singer whose creation is clearly heartfelt and gripping.
