Bio

Born into a musical and artistic family, Daney had an early access to the world of music and arts. Daney’s journey with Jazz began in 2009, when she and her father formed a jazz duo and started performing regularly at local clubs.

After graduating from high school, she started studying Jazz Vocals in 2011 with Norbert Gottschalk in Freiburg until 2013. In October 2013 she moved to Würzburg, where she completed her bachelor’s degree in music in 2015. 

In 2014 and 2015 she took part in the "Miszform Project" and performed at the International Taichung Jazz Festival in Taiwan in 2015. Since 2014 she embodies the famous Jazz Singer Billie Holiday - who had a great influence on the singer’s approach to music - in the musical theater production "Billie Holiday - Der Blues der Lady" under the direction of Jan Burdinski. 

After graduating, Daney participated in "The Voice of Germany" in 2015  and taught singing at a music school in Lauf. 

She formed her own band "DANEY" in 2015 and currently continues studying Jazz Vocals at the University of Music and Theater in Leipzig.
